The rig after it has been beat up and all dirty.  It is still full and ready for unload.
The room that DeeDee, Abby and Jaeger had in the back seat, this is just as we traveled.  Changing table on top of the dog kennel and just enough room to sit.
The room that I had in the front seat, with the laptop and cameras on the right hand for quick action.  I had nice room but still not as much as the dog.
Welcome to Alaska and yet another time zone.  We have made it but still have a long drive to where we are going.
Boader was easy as we had all the paperwork in hand and were not carrying any firearms.
View of the Tetlin National Wildlife Park just inside the boarder
Last night on the road in Tok, Alaska.
Abby still having fun after playing with the same toy for 12 days.
Views of the Alaskan Mountains and what we will be seeing a lot of in the future.

Views of the Alaskan Mountains and what we will be seeing a lot of in the future.  Here you can see a large river that probably gets fuller when the snow is melting off the mountains.
We crossed the time zone and border to Alaska at 12:11pm Alaska time - we jumped back another hour.  This is our last time zone and puts us 4 hours behind the east coast.  We crossed the US border at about 12:30pm as they are a bit farther down the road than the Canada border/customs.  We crossed the Alaska border at mile 5,611 of our trip.  Our trip mile is from when we left S.C. not N.Y.
A few miles after entering the US we stopped briefly at the Tetlan Wildlife Reservation visitor center.  There were some really nice views and we even saw some red squirrels.

By 2pm we were checking into the Young’s Motel in Tok, AK.  We ordered a small dish from the restaurant around 3pm to hold us over till dinner.
Before dinner we gave Abby a bath which she loved.  We let her play in the tub for a while before getting her ready for dinner.  We walked to the hotel restaurant which was in a separate building.  We ended up sitting next to a couple from North Dakota that was being transferred with the Air Force to Fairbanks, AK which is about six hours North of Anchorage.  We ended up talking to them through the whole dinner.
Wink got a bacon Swiss burger with curly fries.  The meal was good but he said his bun was twice the size of his burger.  I had the taco salad which I loved.  It was really good.  After dinner we went back to the room and Wink gave Jaeger a bath.

By 9pm Alaska time we were out.  Abby woke up at 2am and when we got up the sun was still up.  Wink even pulled back the curtains to make sure he was not imagining it.  Nope, it was still sunlight, although it looked to be going down.  Now you need to remember that Tok is more North than Anchorage so it gets less night hours.

We got up a bit late as the hotel does not have alarm clocks in the rooms - no clocks at all.  By 6:30am we were on the road for the last day of our trip.  It has been fun but we are ready to be there.  The last wing of the trip is about six hours.  The views are all the same though, moutains with snow, rivers, creeks, and animals.  The views are absolutely awesome.
We arrived in Eagle River and checked into our motel called Eagle River Motel.  We will be here until our house is finished sometime in the beginning of July.
I still can not believe we crossed through four time zones, crossed the Canada/US border, crossed the arctic circle, crossed the continental divide, crossed the US/Canada border, and spent 12 nights/13 days on the road.  We both agree that this trip has been incredible.  Would we do it again???  In a heartbeat, but next time we get an RV. :-)
